Join MPG Resident Artist Cindy Dron on Saturday mornings for a 4-week workshop series on advanced throwing.
Push your limits and expand your repertoire of skills. We will concentrate on throwing larger items and composite pieces. Participants should be comfortable centering 3 lbs of clay. Bring your own favourite clay, porcelain is not the best for this workshop. Suggested participants should have 2 12" and 1 14" plaster batts (PSH sells them).
To participate member must be of advanced throwing skill level and be able to centre 3lbs of clay without supervision, non studio members must be able to glaze and fire their own work.
Starts Saturday March 22nd - 9:30 to 12:30
Cost $225.00 for 4 consecutive weeks
Includes 1 bisque firing at the end of the 4 week session. Limit 8 members per session, open to Studio / Lite / RAM and General members.
Studio Lite: Must bring clay and tools to each session. You may remain after the session ends but remove you clay and tools each day.
General Members: Must transport tools and clay to each session. Trimming can be completed at home or at next session. General members must clean up at the end of session. Thrown pieces can be left for next scheduled session if you plan to trim during the session.
All participants will be guaranteed bisque firing for 4 finished pieces, more if space allows. The work must be ready to bisque fire Friday April 24th. There is only 1 bisque firing scheduled for this workshop.
All participants may arrive a half hour prior to the start time for set up.
